This week, Apple unveiled a brand new batch of emojis—just in time for World Emoji Day and the upcoming release of The Emoji Movie. Among the new crew of mobile characters are a T. Rex and zebra, along with a yogi and a woman wearing a headscarf. While the release won’t be available until later this year, it seems fashion-forward celebrities are continuing to channel one of the best-dressed emojis already in existence: thesalsa dancer. The saucy brunette character who strikes a pose in a plunging and ruffled red dress has found herself at the center of many an Internet meme, perhaps most notably when Zendaya chose a strikingly similar look for the 2016 Golden Globes. But while that picture may have been worth a thousand words, the glamorous character is continuing to inspire our conversations as well as our closets.

Just ask Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman, who recently displayed two different ways to wear the look from day to night. When Theron attended the Atomic Blonde photocall in Berlin over the weekend, she cut a very familiar (and very chic) figure in Givenchy’s red silk crepe de chine blouse and skirt. The flamenco-style ruffles felt fresh and youthful, while the bracelet sleeves offset the micro hem. She even had the house’s matching red strappy sandals to go with it. Portman hit a similar note in Dior when she wore the label’s red crepe dress with lace trim to the Dior for Love press event in Tokyo this morning. The design didn’t have the same plunging neckline seen on the emoji and Theron, but the off-the-shoulder silhouette was a subtler alternative for day. All Portman would need to do to take the frock out on the town would be to swap her Dior “J’adior” slingbacks for dancing shoes—and perhaps invite a few friends with a single tap of the thumb.
